Thank you! And sorry for the late reply. It has been a while since I've been on Newgrounds. Due to what happened to my dog, I didn't have it in me to continue on with this project and decided to discontinue it. But all is not lost, I am putting my time into making another platformer. This time it will be a lot more simplified but rest assured it will be a fun and engaging experience. Here's a little sneak peak...https://youtu.be/a8GhcqHQJRA

The footage you see isn't final, and the game is still in very early stages. But the style of the gameplay is very much that of Wonderboy for the Sega Master System, or Adventure Island for the NES 😊

Thank you. I still miss him a lot. But I've got a feeling I'll see him again. Infact, a couple of weird but cool things happened to me that I'd like to share with you.

My dog's name was Ryan. And he lived life at a hundred miles an hour.
Every morning I'd get up and go to the bathroom, he'd barge in! 😂

I'd be standing there helpless and hoping nobody would come past the door and see me! He knew what he was doing too. The goofy look on his face said it all. Then he'd run around and jump all over me before I could even choke down my morning cup of coffee.

Anyway, I'm pretty skeptical when it comes to there being an afterlife. But some things just cannot be explained although many like to think they have all of life's answers. Only a few days after we had to make that awful decision...I was having a nap in the afternoon. I was in a half dream-like state when I heard Ryan's barking right outside the door of my room. It sounded like a happy yap. He used to wake me up all the time when he was alive, barking at the neighbors.

But sure, I could have just been hearing things. But what happened next I will never forget. About just over a week since Ryan's passing, I got up in the morning to go to the bathroom (too much info, I know! 😂) there I was, having my morning pee when all of a sudden the bathroom door barged open.

I'm not making this up. I consider myself a very logical person. It happened, and I wasn't even thinking about Ryan at that moment, but as soon as it happened...It's like I knew.

I know it sounds absolutely nuts, but this actually happened to me twice. Being the skeptic I am, I checked the hinges and tried to recreate it...Maybe I shut the door too lightly? Maybe it didn't close properly?? I tried closing the door in many different ways from carelessly pushing it hard or soft. But nope...The hinges were fine.

It's like that same force was behind it from when he actually barged on in. I just can't explain it. But it really opened my mind up to the possibility that there could be a lot more to this life than we could possibly imagine.
